Why is December the most important month to build your business?
Did you know that December is the MOST important month to build your business?
You need to lay the groundwork for a strong January.
If you don’t launch into a strong January, you won’t have a
strong first quarter next year, and without a strong first quarter, you won’t have a strong year. Or at least you will need to work very, very hard to catch up.
So, you have to be working NOW or your January will not be good.
Be ready for a strong January
Most businesses have a huge January rush, so why not set yourself up to be ready for it?
For instance, if you offer a weight loss product, EVERYBODY will be looking for that in January. (Well, maybe not every single person, but a lot of them will be).
Or maybe you offer travel, people will be dreaming and planning for their vacations next year. Why not make sure your info is in front of them when they decide on the details?
Or perhaps you offer Identity Theft protection–there are lots of stories in the news about databases with customer info being hacked–you want to position yourself as the go-to person when they are ready to buy.
You get the idea, you need to be working your hardest now through the end of the year so you will be positioned for the January rush and not playing catch-up like the ones who didn’t plan and work hard in December. You will be taking advantage of everyone else’s laziness.
Did you notice how early the stores stocked Christmas items? How could you not notice, right? That’s because stores stock what people are thinking about. They might grumble that they are seeing all the holiday decorations and gift ideas appearing that early, but you’d better believe they are actually thinking about it. Those stores have done their research and they want to be ready when people aren’t just thinking about it but actually start buying.
Why not take a tip from the big corporations and do the same?
Why not start planting your seeds so that when the time is right, YOUR stuff will be in front of your prospects?
A good way of doing that is by simply meeting and getting to know new people every day. Just get acquainted, don’t spring your business on them, you want to simply make a new friend.
Keep in touch with your new friends
Then keep in touch. Let them get to know, like and trust you. People buy from people they trust. Only rarely will they buy from a total stranger; especially if that stranger is only coming across with a gimme gimme attitude. Do you get annoyed when someone you’ve just met right away shoves their link in front of you? I know I do. You want your new friends to feel like you genuinely want to help them.
If you are looking for a great way to keep in touch with your new friends we recommend this incredible follow-up system. You can take a ten-day risk-free trial run for $10.
So, bottom line: Enjoy your family and friends this Holiday Season, but you also need to be working HARDER in December than in any other month so that you will be set up for the January rush and a great first quarter and your whole next year!
